Roberto Chiarotti

Roberto has 25 plus years’ experience of establishing and running global commercial operations in conferences, tradeshows, bespoke events and training for commercial and not-for-profit organisations.

Before establishing BCM Events Roberto was responsible for the commercial operations of some of the worlds largest and most prestigious events.

Roberto ran sales, marketing and business development for the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). Based in London and Dubai, Roberto was responsible for driving global revenues for existing and new conferences, exhibitions and training. He was also responsible for the identification and realisation of growth and alliance opportunities for events internationally.

Some of the major events in which Roberto has held a senior position include OTC, ATCE, OTC Asia, Offshore Europe, IPTC, OGWA and RPTC.

After graduating, Roberto worked in public affairs for the World Coal Institute before joining The Financial Times where he became Global Publishing Director for Financial Times Energy.

Before joining SPE Roberto ran the global commercial functions of Reuters Professional at Thomson Reuters which included the management of the global sales and business development teams responsible for conferences, seminars and awards as well as magazines, websites, news and data.
